The Forestry Technician 2 (FT2) position is a member of the Fuels Crew. The FT2 is responsible for operating power and hand tools to cut small trees and bushes, and feeding vegetation into a chipper. This position may also involve participation in pile and broadcast burning.  

The FT2 position is a seasonal position with an hourly rate of $25/hour. The FT2 is offered as either a part-time or full-time position. The season is expected to end mid-November.

• The part-time position is 20 hours (2 10-hour days) per week.
• The full-time position is 40 hours (4 10-hour days) per week.

Our Fuels Crew does not respond to fires. Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma (or equivalent) are required for all positions. All applicants must undergo a background check, medical exam, and physical fitness test.
