Southern California Fires

Like so many other agencies across the west, on January 8th we left to help our southern neighbors. One engine, carrying four firefighters (Captain Tovani, Engineer Bowman, and Firefighters Moran and Leandro), was sent to Pasadena. These four firefighters were willing to pack up their gear at a moment's notice, leaving their homes and families for an unknown length of time. When we send firefighters out of the area for mutual aid, firefighters are called in to replace them; they will sacrifice their days off to protect the fire district and ensure that there is no lapse in coverage.

Thank You

To everyone who sent us cards and baked goods this holiday season, thank you! Our firefighters love cookies! They are usually eaten so fast that it is rare to get a photo like this. The cookies shown here were made for us by the Alexander Valley 4-H Club. There is some serious cookie decorating talent in that club.
